On May 14, Neighbourhood Pharmacies wrote a submission to the Standing Committee on Social Policy regarding draft Bill 283, Advancing Oversight and Planning in Ontario's Health System Act, 2021. If the proposed legislation is passed, it would require persons and entities who administer COVID-19 vaccines to disclose to the Ministry of Health specific COVID-19 vaccine administration related information and further notes that the Ministry may issue a directive respecting the form, manner and timing of the disclosures required.
Neighbourhood Pharmacies highlighted in the submission that we believe pharmacy is already compliant with the proposed legislation and encouraged government to leverage the digital infrastructure already in place vs. adding additional administrative data reporting responsibilities.
