On August 10, Neighbourhood Pharmacies responded to the Ontario College of Pharmacists' consultation on a series of regulatory amendments to pharmacy professionals' scope of practice. We strongly supported all the amendments, which will allow more pharmacy professionals to prescribe and administer more routine immunizations to more patients. We have also called for pharmacists' ability to prescribe and administer all vaccines, to increase vaccine update, simplify the patient journey and overall ensure pharmacy can continue to be a valuable partner in supporting primary care and public health.
