

While marking its 30th anniversary, the Neighbourhood Pharmacy Association of Canada proudly announced the recipients of its two prestigious awards, recognizing outstanding contributions to the advancement of pharmacy in Canada.
LEN MARKS PHARMACY ADVANCEMENT AWARD RECIPIENT

Janet Cooper, BScPhm, ACPR, received the 2025 Len Marks Pharmacy Advancement Award. Throughout her career, Janet has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to pharmacy excellence and education. From her early days as a practicing pharmacist to her many leadership roles advocating for the profession—both in practice and academia—she has left a lasting mark on the evolution of pharmacy. Janet has championed the profession’s advancement while nurturing its future, helping shape the next generation of leaders. She has bridged practice with purpose and united education with advocacy, advancing pharmacy as both a profession and a force for innovation and impact.
DISTINGUISHED PARTNER OF THE YEAR RECIPIENT
Ryan Norman, General Manager, Supplier Relations & Health Industry Information Services at IQVIA, was awarded the 2025 Distinguished Partner of the Year Award. A champion of innovation and strategic collaboration, Ryan has played a pivotal role in advancing community pharmacy by harnessing data-driven insights and enabling pharmacy businesses to thrive in a competitive and evolving environment. His longstanding partnership with Neighbourhood Pharmacies has helped shape a forward-looking agenda grounded in real-world intelligence and shared success. Through his leadership, Ryan has strengthened the foundation for innovation, growth, and integration across the pharmacy sector.
Both recipients were formally recognized at the annual Chair’s Dinner and Awards Ceremony, held as part of Pharmacy EXPO each year.
Janet and Ryan’s contributions exemplify the core values guiding Neighbourhood Pharmacies’ Strategic Plan for 2025–2029. Their leadership and collaboration reflect a shared vision and a deep commitment to expanding access to care through thriving community pharmacies.
